Azadeh Shafie is a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist with over a decade of expertise working with children and people of determination in the UK and UAE. She holds a BSc. in Psychology and an MSc. in Speech and Language Therapy, both from the University of Reading, UK.
With a strong commitment to supporting children with diverse communication needs, Azadeh has worked across schools, nurseries, homes, and clinics, providing therapy for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, ADHD, speech sound disorders, language disorders, fluency difficulties, selective mutism, social communication disorders, and those requiring AAC support.
She is trained in PECS, Makaton, delivering Elkland training , and delivering Hanen More Than Words training, Social Thinking, SCERTS, and more, equipping her with a broad range of evidence-based approaches. Azadeh prides herself on working collaboratively with the team around the child, including parents, teachers, learning support assistants, occupational therapists, psychologists, and behavior analysts.
Her therapy approach is centered on building strong relationships with children and their families, ensuring that Open Sansventions are open, meaningful, and relevant to their everyday lives.
